Little Angels Play & Stay Group, St Andrew's Church, Dearnley & Smithy Bridge
The ‘Little Angels’ play group at Andrew's Church, Dearnley opened in the churches’ new Wider Welcome Parish Room on Monday morning (January 13) at 9.30am.
The group caters for children aged five and under, with their parents and carers, and is set to run each Monday in the newly extended and refurbished parish room, from 9.30am to 11.30am with a nominal charge of £2 per family.
The sessions will include play time, music time and, on an occasional basis, such things as cake making and even learning the rudiments of sign language, all designed for the under-5s.
Chrissie McCole, the organiser, believes the group can be beneficial to children and parents alike.
“I’ve got one young mum in particular who is quite shy but nobody’s judgmental here nobody discriminates.”
“My son is autistic and I’m looking to get more children with additional needs as I think working in small groups can be beneficial to these children.”
Chrissie can be contacted on 07763749452 for further information or you can just turn up at 9.30am on any Monday morning at St Andrew’s.
