St Andrew’s, Dearnley

Date published: 25 November 2014

St Andrew’s, Dearnley will stage their own version of ‘Songs Of Praise’ in Church this coming Sunday, November 30, at 3pm. Everyone welcome.

Many of the hymns have been requested and people will be given the opportunity to briefly explain why they have asked for a particular hymn.

‘Songs of Praise’, to be followed by afternoon tea in the parish room, forms part of the church’s St Andrew’s Day celebrations.

Sunday is also the start of Advent and, as preparation, children, if accompanied by an adult, can take part in our arts and crafts workshop on Saturday between 4pm and 5.30pm in the parish room.

We have our usual Sung Eucharist at 9.30am on Sunday, followed by Holy Baptism at 11.30am and then ‘Songs of Praise’ in the afternoon.

Parish rota: lay assistants, J Mills, H Walker; readers, H Holland, A Fitton; Intercessions, J Mills; sidespersons, E Burrow, J Ainsworth; refreshments, Carolyn, Pat, Margaret H.
