Date published: 14 April 2015
St Andrew’s Church in Dearnley ran a programme titled the ‘Easter Experience’ depicting the course of the Holy Week.
Pupils from St Andrew’s C of E Primary School and Smithy Bridge Primary School were invited to the event, consisting of learning about the hope and dreams of Palm Sunday, The Last Supper and washing of feet on Maundy Thursday, and the suffering on the Cross on Good Friday.
In small groups, the children visited the various ‘stations’ which were set up in separate parts of the church representing several aspects of Holy Week.
