Conservative Fears!

At a recent Conservative group meeting we discussed the budget and our concerns about the proposed large Council Tax rise and the problems the budget will create meaning even larger increases in future years.
We are also very concerned at the lack of consultation and transparency in funding the voluntary sector. This matter needs to be re considered so that every one is fully aware of the problems that voluntary groups may face in light of the Lib Dem proposals.
We also discussed the very high rent rise the Lib Dems are imposing we are very concerned about this for our Council Tennants.In light of this Cllr I an Duckworth has come forward with some excellent proposals which he will be putting forward soon. Lets hope that the Lib Dems mean what they say and will listen to Cllr Duckworth’s proposals and to our concerns for the voluntary sector. Their actions on these matters will speak louder than words.
