Improving the Physical Environment

Although we are making improvements in the ways in which we react, and the time it takes, to implement highway repairs, one still has to be patient. I am pleased to say I have successfully pushed the highways department to repair several roads and footpaths around the Silver Hill estate. Your Lib Dem controlled Council are already beginning to get more works done in Milnrow & Newhey. The latest road and footpath repairs took place recently on Sandstone Road and Crofthead Drive. Residents here had been waiting for some time for works to be done. After a long campaign I’m pleased that the roads and footpaths are looking better and safer for us all to use. I am aware of other bad roads and footpaths in Milnrow & Newhey, and you can rest assured that Councillor Irene Davidson, Councillor Denis Whittle and myself are pushing the highways department for more repairs and improvements. Please don’t hesitate to contact any of your local Lib Dem team about any other road and footpath issues.
We can't promise to get things done as soon as we all would like, just yet, but your Lib Dem controlled Council is improving, and the Lib Dems determined to get to Rochdale 4 Star Excellent status.
