Morning started early for me  trying to play catch up on housework that I am afraid did get neglected over the election period,

Yesterday was spent visiting residents and food shopping  and the evening was of course taken up with Full Council and Mayor Making.

Jean Hornby was as always suburb, fighting off the tears which is understandable given that she was not re-elected this year, On a personal note to Jean You will be missed in the Chamber and in the council in general please enjoy your well deserved rest (not that you will rest I am sure) and I am sure that we will be seeing you again  Take care Highest regards from me

We now have a new Mayor and Mayoress Cllr Peter Evens and his lovely wife Helen, Peter I am sure will be a credit to the whole borough of  Rochdale ,Peter and Helen enjoy your year as I am sure you will, 

Now its time to get back to work (housework for a couple of hours ) phone calls permitting, and then out visiting this afternoon, not forgetting the important Firgrove area forum this evening
