Bernard Manning

Having worked with Bernard many times I found him most generous, 100% entertaining, and a kind-hearted proud Lancastrian. Just like me he never forgot his roots and was very proud of where he lived. He always looked out for his fellow man and were generous to those less well-off than himself. Many is the time that I’ve gone to the Embassy Club and he made me very happy. Bernard was very modest about his comedic talents and never let his fame go to his head.
He was a fellow obsessive Man City fan – which can’t be a bad thing. I saw him enter the stadium at Maine Road many times just like an ordinary fan – the officials and fans loved him but, as I’ve said, he was very modest and let others take the plaudits. My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
