A bit of the week so far .......

Sunday - Service in Church followed by a short service and laying of wreaths with the Churches in Norden at the War Memorial.  All the traffic stopped at 11 a.m. which was very kind of them.  Very moving, best attendance for many years.

Monday - Delivered some leaflets in Middleton, must encourage people to vote the right way at the by-election.  Loads of phone calls and emails.  Constituents expect us to show discretion, sometimes confidentiality, which I respect fully so cannot always go into detail.

Tuesday - a few meetings but Norden PACT followed by Community Association (and later a pint!) were the major Ward ones.  C.A. is always well chaired, and PACT is developing nicely

Wednesday - discussed the applications from developers for the regeneration of the town centre, met the new Police Superintendent and was very impressed with what he wants to achieve, then Township meeting.  Atmosphere was more relaxed and positive and co-operative than has sometimes been the case.  Jane presented a petition for Arnside Drive residents.  After Township met some residents at their request.  Then wrote this, and went to bed. Yes, good idea that.
