Last Thursday I cut up my Tesco Visa Card which was run by RBS in sheer disgust over Fred The Shred's(Goodwin) £16 m pension outrage.

I still had some vouchers from my Visa Card which you can redeem when shopping at Tesco. So I went on Saturday, but at the till the chash lady said she needed my card. I told her my tale. In total sympathy she accepted my  Driving Licence as proof of identity and allowed me to get my discount.

I don't think this would have happened only a few months ago.

Governmnet might refuse to sort out this disgusting mess of undeserved pay, bonuses and pensions, but in the meantime people on the ground are so angry they come together and  help each other through little gestures which mean a lot.

The solution to this monstrous fiancial crisis will not come from the top and certainly not from the current political leadership. It will come from the people.

The better we stick together in our small communities the more likely we are to survive.
