An experience for sure?

I know some might think I “harp” on regarding the downgrading of our Rochdale Infirmary but over the past few months I have experienced many a personal need for these most valued services, A&E, medical and surgical wards.

From the bottom of my heart I can’t thank or praise the staff enough on A&E, MEU, Sparthfield and ICU for the excellent care given to 3 members of my family, the dedication and expertise has been tremendous and valued.

It is very difficult to be a family member when your loved one is ill but the love and respect I and my family have received and have been given deserves acknowledgement.

God forbid we lose these services as none of us knows when we might need them.

Mr Afify and his team thank you all from my heart.

To the managers of the Infirmary please stand up to this government and stop this madness? As we all know that to remove these services just is not going to work people or getting sicker, people are living longer illness and hospital care is just not going to go away, all the lift centres in the world are not going to stop people needing emergency / hospital inpatient care .
Stand up and fight for your Hospital one day like me you might need it; we have a service to be proud of and a service that does save lives.
Why the heck would you want to lose such a valuable service ? since October last year  there has been no let up regarding the number of people needing Emergency Care Rochdale's A&E department has been full to bursting with patients, Ambulances queuing, patients queuing every cubicle in A&E full ,as is the waiting area

The staff deserve so much credit as they struggle to search for a much needed bed and desperately try to not breach this ridiculous Government's 4 hour target  how can it be done when they continue to remove services and beds?

Our Maternity unit is full our Special Care Baby unit is full our Children's unit is at it's busiest.as are all the other same units throughout the Pennine Acute Trust at Fairfield ,Oldham & North Manchester.

Throughout all of these valuable services the figures are continuing to rise so how can it possibly work to remove them!
