Labour's attack on the vulnerable

I am not sure if Rochdale online readers are aware but over the last few months the Labour Party in Rochdale have called in dozens of planning applications in an attempt to clog up the planning system costing US, the local taxpayer, THOUSANDS of pounds!

A new sign for a town centre charity, a new dentist, extensions to schools and Doctor’s surgeries and dozens of home improvements for local residents are just some of the plans that have been delayed by Labour as they attempt to throw our borough into turmoil.

Labour’s totally irresponsible actions have resulted in innocent local tax-payers having much needed improvements on their homes suspended for at least three months. School children, the elderly, the disabled, the unemployed, the sick and many more groups have been badly affected.

The calling up of applications has resulted in more Officer time preparing reports, Admin time preparing Committee agendas, costs in postage to notify neighbours and applicants of the Committee time and date and Committee Services printing larger than normal agendas for the meetings.

No one is safe from Labour’s attack on the residents of our Borough. This is party politics of the worst kind. Not only are they costing the taxpayer thousands but they are also putting residents’ health and well-being at serious risk. 

The fact that Councillor Colin Lambert, as Leader of the Labour Party, is still pursuing this policy is simply disgraceful. They really have shown a total disregard for the local taxpayer.
