A little Christmas message

We were due to go to Germany via the Tunnel on Monday, and as you will know, the Tunnel was closed. Instead we returned to Rochdale and have been part of the worst, or best, snow for at least a decade. With so many of us leading busy lives, maybe it’s just a pleasure to leave the car at home and work by email or walk. There’ll be relatively few working lives in this borough that survive without a car. That’s something that has changed over the last decade.
Maybe a time like this gives us a chance to sit back and view our own lives and priorities, rather than getting frustrated in why others aren’t making it possible for us to do what we now feel we have to do to live in modern Britain.
