Health Trusts Efficiency Drive

Efficiency’s in the Health trust need to start at the top, Management is so top heavy and many of these position’s have over doubled in the last few years in fact many post’s are just jobs created and not essential or needed no-one knows these managers on the wards at the hospital or what jobs they do

Also the PCT has literally thrown money away since the start of the reconfiguration to downgrade our services they have wasted “thousands of pounds” on glossy magazines etc. Doctor Tilly’s Big Idea aimed at keeping children out of hospital and nursed at home at a cost of £95 thousand is a prime example as our wards are always still very busy in all the Pennine Acute Hospitals (even the new one in Manchester can’t cope with the volume of poorly children)!
In-house meetings and fancy hotels to push these Healthy futures- making it better was just a load of nonsense and complete waste of public money which could have been better spent on patient care.

So lets start were the waste really is and huge savings would most certainly be made they can’t cut back on the frontline staff any more than they already have it is the staff & doctors that have kept it going,

Our hospitals / healthcare needs to go back to the basics and have managers who understand and put the need of patient care first and foremost and allow it’s dedicated staff & doctors to continue to do the job they chose to do, To Care and help nurse back a poorly patient with time, patience and tender loving care instead of targets which we all know just can’t be met without repercussions?
Massive savings could be met if many of these unnecessary posts were got rid off and stop handing out huge pay settlements at the top!
