On Tuesday evening 16th March I had the honour and the privilege to meet with the Bishop of Manchester the Rt Reverend Nigel McCullough at Wardle Village Church and met with fellow Pennines Councillors Ashley Dearnley & Janet Darnborough.

It was part of Bishop Nigel’s Pilgrimage around the diocese to visit 350 churches this was his 70th visit so he still has a way to go, but what a lovely man he gets his message of faith hope and love across without preaching he does it from his heart.

It was a lovely evening and just so nice to see people get together from in and around the Wardle & Smallbridge area and a packed church, the service was so light hearted and full of fun and I came away feeling relaxed and happy.

Some people have that natural power to give us that much needed boost in our lives

Thank you Bishop Nigel you will meet people on your pilgrimage without ever knowing how much faith hope and love you leave behind in your “Run The Race”
