A vote of thanks...

Thank you to everybody that turned out to vote, and vote Labour in North Middleton in the local elections. It was good to see so many young and first time voters at the Polling Stations!

Our election campaign focused on the need to improve our roads and footpaths, increase community safety, create a cleaner environment and provide better council services for local people.

The excellent result gives me confidence that we are meeting the needs of local people; and ensures that residents of North Middleton continue to have a strong team of 3 Labour Councillors working to represent them on Rochdale Council and on Middleton Township.

I have now started to get to work on the many issues local people raised with me throughout our campaign. I will of course continue to hold regular advice surgeries throughout the ward, as well as being accessible by telephone and email.

I look forward to working with residents and serving North Middleton over the next four years.
