Old friends

This evening I called in to see an “Old Friend” I call in 3-4 times a week normally in the morning or early afternoon.
His face light up when he saw me tonight first time ever he turned his TV of in fact it was the first time I had seen him with his TV on! and we had a right good chat about the old days and how times had changed.
I met him many years ago and he has always been an icon in my life and a person I respect and love, tonight we spoke about old friends past and present and how Rochdale had changed over the years it was lovely to hear him reminisce of times gone by as he said his body has given in to time but thankfully not his mind.
God Bless my old friend “Sir Cyril Smith” just to let you know he is still battling on and has Rochdale very much in his thoughts and in his heart.
