Blame the Council!

I would just like to say how disappointed I am of our newly elected MP, Simon Danzcuk, and his performance so far. All he has done is to use the local media to run Rochdale down, he has nothing nice or positive to say about anything or anyone. All he seems to do is blame the Council for everything.

At the Mayor making ceremony he sat chewing gum and stroking his partners back and hair throughout. Many people have made comments about the disrespect he showed to the past and present Mayor and everyone attending this honourable event. Many other people have spoken to me about seeing him to discuss “handed “over casework, saying that he sits chewing gum and constantly checking his watch!

The Lib-Dems and Conservatives are willing to work together for the benefit of everyone in our lovely Borough. If anybody has experience in trying to do the best it has to be Leader of the Conservatives Cllr Ashley Dearnley, who to his credit, is willing to work together with the leader of the Lib –Dems Cllr Irene Davidson for the benefit of everyone through the hard times before us.

The labour party was also invited to join a three party coalition but chose not to!

Yes hard times are going to hit all of us as the last government left the nation in such a mess and it is local councils such as us in the Rochdale Borough that is going to suffer cutbacks as money has to be found somewhere rather than put us back in time yet again with more borrowing.

But we have to accept that this is a nationwide problem and every area is going to have to make cutbacks to tackle the problems we all face through Labour’s failings on waste expenditure.

So come on Mr Danczuk, the least you can do start to try by looking interested putting politics aside and working together to build a future rather than writing letters to the local paper calling the Lib-Con coalition, which is all we hear from you!
