Goodbye to an old Friend.

Needless to say I along with many was very sad to lose an old friend Sir Cyril Smith.
He was a character on the many occasions I visited him or we spoke on the phone I always had a chuckle as he said “come at any time but not when Emmerdale was on” so I always avoided 7 – 7.30pm!
Before he was poorly he had his stall set out at home in Emma Street his remote for the TV, his writing pad, telephone everything set out just as he wanted it.
Then sadly he became ill and I visited him many times at the Infirmary and more so when he went into a nursing home near to were I live, He never lost his sense of humour or his words of wisdom I just so valued the friendship of a very old friend.
And will miss Him loads. But will treasure the memory he has left in my heart.
