Hilary Josephine Rodgers
Liberal Democrat Party
Healey Ward
I worked for twenty years in the banking industry, which included, latterly, training staff.
During this time I spent seven years doing voluntary work, supporting victims of crime, within the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale.
For the last ten years I have worked for a national charity and manage a large team of volunteers. I am also responsible for training staff and volunteers throughout Greater Manchester too.
My current work brings me into contact with a wide variety of people and professionals at which I advocate for the needs and rights of all the people I come into contact with in my working day.
My background has enabled me to work with and to challenge officials with confidence. This is valuable for me because I will be better able to represent and champion your needs. I will represent the interests of all people within our ward, whether they have any political alliance or not.
I will represent the community in the Town Hall; I will not represent the Town Hall in the community.
I have lived in Shawclough for ten years and am a governor of a local primary school that I am very proud to be associated with.
I will not make any personal comments relating to any candidate. This only serves to drag politics down and ultimately turns people off.
I will do my best to campaign on what matters most... the people of Healey!
On 6 May please vote for Hilary Rodgers and Alan Taylor.
