Labour Party
Milkstone & Deeplish Ward

I have been selected by the Labour Party to stand as the prospective candidate for Milkstone & Deeplish ward at the Local council elections to be held on 6 May, 2010.

I have lived in the ward for the past 35 years and have been actively involved with various local community groups. I have carried out youth and community work and mother tongue teaching in local community centres and mosques.

Having worked for the local government for 25 years, I have extensive experience of working with the council departments and private companies.

I have served on school governing bodies and understand the education system and its implications on our children’s future.

As a local resident, I share your concerns and want to see some positive solutions to our problems.

I feel that I have time, experience, knowledge and skills to take on local issues and support the people of my ward in achieving better services and facilities for local residents.

As a member of this community, I feel that our voice is not heard in Rochdale council.
If you support me in the forthcoming elections, I can assure you that I will be your strong voice in Rochdale Town Hall.

Thank you for your continuous support!
