I am a strong believer in equal rights for the disabled and believe passionately that disabled people should have an active voice in public affairs.
I am a regular visitor at Rochdale Council Meetings and the Chairman of the Shepherd Courts Tenants’ Association.
I am so pleased to stand for the Liberal Democrats in Wardle and West Littleborough.
Despite scurrilous smears from opposition campaigners in Wardle and West Littleborough, the Liberal Democrats DO have a candidate and I am immensely proud to be representing them.
My biggest concern is the current state of healthcare in Rochdale. The Government has let the people of Rochdale down badly with the closure of Birch Hill Hospital and now Rochdale Infirmary is under threat.
It seems such a waste that only a few years ago they spent millions of pounds on extending the hospital. With a new building It seems such a waste of money now. By standing for Council I want to show my commitment to helping to stop this Government waste across our town.
