Conservative Councillor Teresa Fitzsimons is standing again in South Middleton Ward.
I have enjoyed working for the residents of South Middleton for the last four years. My priority is to work with everyone to satisfy local needs.
I have taken part in decisions concerning the reorganisation of primary and secondary schools, am a governor of St Thomas More primary school, a member of the General Assembly of Manchester University and Chair of Governors at Middleton Technology School.
Some of the recent issues I have been involved with include:
- Pressing for a dedicated street cleaner for our area.
- greater police presence.
- Repairs of roads and pavements.
- Lowering of council tax and better support for our older citizens
I hope you will vote for me again as there is still a great deal to do in the areas of traffic control, education, health and crime and nuisance.
