Local Election 2011

Keith Swift

Keith Swift

Liberal Democrat Party
Milnrow & Newhey Ward

Following a successful Mayoral year, raising £17,400, to support our excellent local young musicians, I am keen to continue working hard for Milnrow and Newhey.

I am well known in both Milnrow and Newhey, a member of several local Clubs and Societies, and always approachable.

I can use my experience as a former Chair of Pennines Township Committee and Cabinet Member for Skills and Economic Recovery to ensure our villages are further improved for the benefit of residents and businesses alike.

Recent successes have been action, working with local Police Officers, to prevent noise nuisance from Off Road Motorbikes, action on Pot Holes and Footpath maintenance, action to retain and improve Milnrow Library, and creation of the new Milnrow and Newhey Heritage and Conservation Group.

I have always put Milnrow and Newhey first in every decision I’ve taken and promise to carry on fighting for our area if re-elected this May.
