Peter is a retired bank courier who spent six years in the Lancashire Fusiliers and the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. He has previously served eight years on Rochdale Council as the elected member for the old wards of Brimrod and Spotland. Married with one adult daughter, Peter has lived in the Bamford ward for almost 35 years and is a keen golfer and dog walker. He is also is president of the Fusiliers association in Rochdale and an active member of the British Legion.

Peter Clegg offers voters reliability, dedication and experience as your ward Councillor. He has served on a range of committees including the Fire Authority and the Manchester Airport Authority and chairing Rochdale Township for two years. He has extensive experience of handling casework.

His priorities for the ward are keeping the environment clean and green, making road improvements to potholes, resurfacing and repainting, providing support for local business and making sure Bamford gets it fair share of funding.
