Local Election 2014

Sean Page

Sean Page

UK Independence Party
South Middleton Ward

My name is Sean Page and I am standing as a UKIP Candidate in the South Middleton. I am 56 years old and live with my wife in Heywood. Since coming to Heywood almost 20 years ago I have always worked in the public sector. I worked for New Heart for Heywood under the New Deal for communities partnership and achieved an NVQ 4 in Community Development, I moved from there to focus my attention on supporting people on long term sick benefit build their confidence and search for and find paid employment. If I say so myself I was extremely successful in this role and remember my involvement with Rochdale Council's Into Work project with pride. When the Into Work Project ended I moved to Adult Care where I worked as an Assessor for home care provision where I remained until November of last year. Currently I find myself working for Creative Support/Trafford Compass in Sale. I work with people who experience difficulties managing their tenancies especially 16-25 year olds who are faced with the daunting task of managing their first tenancy. Top of the list also is assisting people to work their way through the maddening-and not user friendly-labyrinth of the Benefits System and of course contending with the dreaded Bedroom Tax.

The bottom line is this. I have always been a foot soldier on the ground. I always have put the Service User/Client/Customer first. My strong point is advocacy. I have a mouth and I am not afraid to use it. It is my promise that I will ensure the voice of the constituent is heard.

Solutions to problems may not be what everyone wants but I will ensure that all issues are dealt with in a fair and transparent manner. So tell me what you want and I will ensure you get a fair hearing.

Why UKIP? At this point I believe the mainstream parties have become comfortable in their bubble of security and it is time to rattle the cage more than just a little. You have nothing to loose and quite a lot to gain.

Please use your right to vote. Vote for change. Vote for UKIP
