Labour delivering locally
As you may know, polling day for the local council elections will be on Thursday 6 May This is the time your local Councillors elected by the people they represent should be held accountable, and I ask you to take stock, have a look around the Town, are we doing what you elected us to do.
Over the past couple of years, Heywood has seen the following improvements delivered:
- State of the art New Primary School at Woodlands for our children
- Sure Start facilities at Derby Street
- Heywood Library fully refurbished
- New Health connections Centre
- New memorial for Service personnel who have died since WW2 (first of its kind in the country)
- Darnhill Library fully refurbished
- Derelict employment land around the town re-designated for residential build
Queens Park brought up to Green flag status - Block refurbishment to Town Centre
For the imminent future, there is the New Sports Village.
There is more to be done and with your help and support I will continue to ensure Heywood has its voice heard on Rochdale Council along with the aims and aspirations of the people I represent.
That’s why I’m asking you to make sure you take time to vote Labour on 6 May.
Yours sincerely,
