Liz McInnes, Labour’s candidate for Heywood and Middleton, said:
“I’m standing to be your next MP and will be a strong voice for Heywood and Middleton.
“I’ve worked for the NHS for 33 years and I’ve seen what this Tory-led Government has done to it. I’ve seen how staff are stretched and cuts have started to destroy our services.
“But it’s the privatisation of the NHS which means the NHS is no longer in charge of who provides care which is the most dangerous.
“People around here are already noticing the difference, but this is just the start. People on the doorstep tell me they can’t get GP appointments when they need them, and they are worried about the future of our local hospitals.
“I am on your side. I lived locally in Middleton for 11 years, and I understand the communities here.
“A vote for me next Thursday is a vote for the NHS. This isn’t just an election, this is about saving the NHS.“
