Hypnosis
Would it surprise you to learn that you’ve experienced hypnosis many times already?
As you woke up this morning, and maybe thought lazily about what you were going to do today. Just as you drifted off to sleep last night, those few moments of drowsy peacefulness. Have you ever been driving along a route that you know really well and suddenly thought, “I don’t remember the last few turns?” Daydreaming or when you are really engrossed in an interesting book or film are all hypnoidal states.
It’s a completely natural altered state of awareness that we all experience, when we focus our attention on one thing to the complete exclusion of everything else.
Hypnotherapy
Using hypnosis and therapy we are able to use this heightened state of awareness to bypass the critical conscious part of ourselves and gain access to the unconscious, most powerful part of ourselves and give beneficial suggestions. We can alter our internal thought processes for the better, easily changing unwanted habits or behaviours very rapidly. Hypnotherapy can help you find new responses, new thoughts and feelings and dispel negative unwanted thoughts or behaviours.
I chose to train with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis because the College is recognised by the NHS as a post graduate training provider for doctors and dentists and is also approved by the Royal College of Nursing. I hold a Higher Educational Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis from the LCCH accredited by Greenwich University.
As an associate member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis I am bound by a strict code of ethical conduct, which ensures that all recommended therapists have proper training and ongoing clinical supervision. I am also an associate member of the Hypnotherapy Association.
