Civil Ceremonies
The Crimble is very pleased to announce that we have been granted a license to hold civil wedding ceremonies. Three of the rooms at the Crimble have been confirmed as appropriate venues and we are able to offer them to you under the following terms and conditions.
The Fenton Room
The Crimble's first floor function room is the most intimate of the Crimble's civil wedding venues. This venue holds a maximum of 40 guests for a civil wedding ceremony. The original beams of the Fenton Room give the room a “oldie world” ambience. Unfortunately we are unable to offer disabled access to this room. The room hire charge for the Fenton Room is £150.
The Conservatory Restaurant
Part of the Conservatory Restaurant has been granted a civil license. This venue holds a maximum of 80 guests for a civil ceremony. As it is part of the restaurant it can only be used at times when the restaurant is closed. (For further details please contact one of the management team.) Decorated with an African Safari theme, this venue offers a very unusual setting for a civil marriage ceremony. The room hire charge for the Conservatory Restaurant is £200.
The Peacock Room
The Crimble's fine dinning venue has also been granted a license for Civil Ceremonies. This venue holds a maximum of 80 guests for a civil ceremony. This exquisite venue is simply a superb place in which to exchange your vows. Under two incredible chandeliers the restaurant exudes opulence and sophistication.
All prices quoted include the use of the room for the ceremony. Any charges levied by the registrars are payable directly to them.
Wedding Breakfasts
The Crimble has two excellent restaurants in which you would be welcome to hold a wedding breakfast. You are of course welcome to use our extensive grounds for any photographs you are having taken to capture your big day. Should the British weather prove unfavourable we have several areas indoors which would be ideal backdrops.
The Conservatory Restaurant
The Conservatory serves a classic steak house style menu, (please see the menus attached). There are several areas in which you can hold a wedding Breakfast in the Conservatory, depending largely on the size of your party and also the way you require the table to be set up. The “Bury” section of the Conservatory can seat up to 25 guests on two long tables or up to 39 guests if you employ a cabaret seating plan. We also have two large round tables which can accommodate a maximum of 9 guests. Finally we can also use one half of the restaurant seating a maximum of 73. Please ask one of our management team for more information.
The Peacock Room
The Peacock Room serves fine dinning cuisine with a modern English menu, (please see the menus attached). Depending upon the day/time of your wedding & your requirements, the Peacock Room can be closed to cater for a private function. Please contact one of the management team for further information. The Peacock Room seats a maximum of 80 guests depending upon the style of seating arrangements chosen.
Decoration
Both restaurants use small flower vases on the tables. These are available for your function or can be removed as per your instructions. The Peacock Room also uses decorative charger plates & tea light candle holders which again are available for your function.
Alternative coloured napkins are available in a variety of styles and textures, to fit any colour scheme. A charge would be applied for these. Please ask one of our management team to view the available selection. (cost of hire on application)
The Peacock Room uses white table linen and napkins. These are available for your use free of charge. If you require any other colours then this would be available and the same charges applied as appropriate.
Any other decoration must be arranged by you. We are happy to recommend local suppliers who can help you with everything from balloons and flowers, to name cards and favours.
Please note - any candles must be placed on a base or in an appropriate holder.
Evening Receptions
In certain Circumstances, the Peacock Room & Cuchulainns Atrium bar can be used for an evening reception. This will only be considered in conjunction with either a civil ceremony & or a wedding breakfast. (Please see buffet menus attached.) The minimum number for an evening reception is 50 and the maximum is 120. All guests must be catered for. Please note, we do not hold evening receptions without catering.
Last orders will be called at 23.45 and the bar will close at 00.00 prompt. All guests must vacate the premises by 01.00.
An extension is available at a cost of £150. If you choose to pay for the extension then last orders will be called at 00.45 and the bar will close at 01.00 prompt. All guests must vacate the premises by 02.00.
Entertainment
You are welcome to hire a DJ or entertainer. They must supply their own equipment. They must also provide a copy of their public liability insurance certificate.
Accommodation
Unfortunately we are unable to offer overnight accommodation at the Crimble. However we are able to offer preferential rates at the Royal Toby Hotel in Castleton, Rochdale. Not only will your guests enjoy the comfort and luxury that the Royal Toby can offer, but should your booking generate 10 room bookings or more, then you will enjoy a complimentary room, either a four poster room or an executive room whichever you prefer. Booking Procedure
If you wish to make a booking please contact one of our management team to check availability. Please make an appointment for you to view the venue and discuss your requirements. We require a non refundable deposit for £500.00 for a full day wedding and £200 for a wedding breakfast. We also require a signed copy of our terms and conditions which will be explained to you during your meeting.
Payment Plan
Once the deposit has been paid, your booking is then secure. A second payment of £500 is required for full day weddings, at an intermittent period between the booking and your wedding day. The final balance is due 4 weeks prior to the wedding. If you are paying by cheque then this must be paid 6 weeks prior to the date of the wedding. After this period no cheque payment will be accepted.
You are of course welcome to make regular payments so that you do not have a large sum still outstanding to be paid a month before your wedding. We understand that a wedding can be a very difficult financial undertaking and we are committed to helping you in terms of your budget and financial planning. Making regular deposits is a good way of doing this.
One of our managers would also be happy to assist you by providing you with a quotation which is another useful tool in preparing for your wedding financially.
