Businesses treat lucky model to day of pampering
A lucky model was given a real treat when a selection of Rochdale businesses decided to try their products on her for a prestigious photoshoot.
18-year-old Claudia Lee picked out £1500 worth of clothing from Denis Hope’s and a collection of jewellery from Sandifords, before being chauffeured to Gregory Couzens hair salon in a Bentley so she could be pampered before her shoot with popular photographer Malcolm Journeaux.
The gorgeous model was then taken to Manchester Golf Club where Steven Flett had set up a special area to do the shoot.
The event was organised to encourage local businesses to work together.
Claudia said: “It was lovely to be treated like a princess all day. I had a wonderful time.
“There are some great businesses in Rochdale, and Malcolm is an amazing photographer and I can't wait to work with him again.”
Ian Sandiford said: "We were delighted to supply our exclusive Coeur de Lion (heart of the lion) jewellery for the photoshoot, which is made and transported in from Germany.
“We are the exclusive stockists of the jewellery in Rochdale and the leading independent retailer in the country and we have been selling it for two years.
"Malcolm came in to look at the jewellery and he really liked it and we offered to loan it for the photoshoot.
"It was good for local companies to help each other out.
"I've looked briefly at the photos and they look very good."
Oliver Hope from Denis Hope said: “We were very impressed with the photographs, Malcolm is a very talented photographer.
“The clothes the model picked out were perfect, she got a range of casual to fancy evening wear and looked fantastic in everything.”
Steven Flett from Manchester Golf Club said: "We haven't done a photoshoot here before so it was something a bit different for us.
"To be honest I didn't know what to expect but we just let Malcolm and Claudia help themselves to what they needed.
"It was good to help, it was like 'you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours'.
"Now we know we could do something like this again. If it promotes our facilities then it's no bad thing.
"In the current climate businesses should be happy to help each other in any way they can."
