Prayer: at the heart of things
We at Holy Trinity believe that prayer should be at the heart of everything we do. We pray because we want to get closer to God.
Prayer is about our relationship with God and the more time we spend with Him the more we get to know Him and as we come to know Him better, we begin to understand God’s loving purposes for each one of us, our communities and for the world.
Prayer is as much about listening to God as it is about asking for the things we need. It’s much easier to ask something of someone who knows and loves us than to ask for help or guidance from a complete stranger, so we pray in order to get to know God better, to tell him about our needs and concerns and to discover what God wants for all His children and how he wants to bless the earth through God’s own son Jesus Christ
Part of our life together as God’s family in Littleborough is to meet each morning for daily prayer to pray for ourselves, our community, for local businesses and industries; to pray for our schools and hospitals, the people who work in our emergency services to keep us all safe and well; for our children and families, the streets round about our parish and all our neighbours, for our sick and elderly and for all those in our area who are in any kind of need.
If you would like us to pray for any particular needs you may have, or if you would like to join us in our prayers, or would like someone to contact you to pray for you or with you, then please, use any of the contact details on our site and we will gladly respond.
In our busy uncertain world we all need to find a sacred space; time to just be still and to discover who we are and what we are here for, to discover there is more to life than seeking more material goods and experiences.
We were all made to have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, to discover how special each one of us is to God and to find in Him, a loving Father, teacher and guide. Someone to lead us through this world with all its complexities and uncertainties. Prayer is a good place to start on this journey of discovery, so why not start today? If you would like help on the journey please feel free to contact us.
