Fitness Activities
At the Sports Arena, we have activities like badminton, short tennis or something a little more energetic like basketball or 5-a-side football.
Let us take the strain out of a busy day. For a period of 2 hours we provide all the equipment for all activities to help make your children’s party as fun-filled as possible. You can book with or without a bouncy castle or alternatively you can book our state of the art astroturf facility with personal function room, all at an unbelievably low cost.
The following classes are available to both members and non-members.
Ballet/Tap & Street Dance
Dance is a wonderful form of low-impact aerobics. Traveling shimmies, percussive hip work, and sustained arm movements make it an excellent exercise choice
Zumba
A fusion between hypnotic latin rhythms and great dance moves.
Experience an absolute blast in one exciting hour.
Legs, Bums & Tums
Legs, bums and tums mixes an aerobic warm-up and cutting edge fat burning lower body exercises and resistance exercises to target those famous troublesome areas.
Box Fit & Abs
Blast your body with this complete aerobic workout to help improve fitness and shape your body.
Circuit Training
Helps improve your endurance/ stamina and muscular strength.
Spinning
A typical class involves a single instructor at the front of the class who leads the participants through routines that are designed to simulate terrain and situations similar to riding a bike outdoors. Some of the movements and positions include hill climbs, sprints and interval training. A well-trained instructor uses music, motivation and enthusiastic coaching to lead students through a ride that bests suits their fitness level and goals.
Fighting4Fitness
Are aimed at people who want to lose weight and tone up in an enjoyable and light hearted environment. They run in 6 week programs that make use of our campus here at Hopwood hall including our boxing academy and aerobics studio.
Combat Fitness
A high energetic class that combines movements developed from a range of self-defence disciplines. It is an excellent accompaniment to your fitness regime.
