STOP PRESS - Workshops
A practical set of workshops, split into two half day sessions. Topics will include market research, competitor analysis, reaching your customers, advertising, direct mail, PR, personal selling and maximising their profile through trade fairs and exhibitions.
If there are any ladies who are starting a business or who are already trading the dates are as follows:
The classes will be small (maximum 10 delegates) and the workshops interactive.
Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
Due to demand, network member Pauline Crompton is holding a workshop for the “Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering”. Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health it is designed for anyone working or planning a business in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled and will take place over two half days on Saturdays in October.
Duration: FREE 1 day course split over 2 half days
Date: Saturday 4th & 11th October 2008
Schedule: 9.30am to 1.30pm (light refreshments provided)
Cost: £20 for the exam paper for network members
Exam: Multiple choice
Venue: WEI offices, Employment Links Centre, Drake Street.

- Pest control
- Law & management
- Food poisoning
- Personal contamination
- Basic bacteriology
- Temperature control
