About Us
Rochdale Business Curry Club© was inspired by our own experiences of other more formal networking events, and the desire to bring local like-minded business people together, in a more relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The co-founders of this event are Colin T Lambert of Independent Financial Advisors, CTL Wealth Management Ltd, and Carmel Lambert of Virtual Typing Services, both locally based and highly respected businesses, with a wealth of experience in their own fields and in business networking. Local businessman Steve Dooley and Brendan Burke of GE Capital Ltd, make up the co-founding team.
We are also very proud to count both Rochdale Online and The Village Hotel Bury as major sponsors, and the venue for our monthly event, is Farooq Ahmed's award winning Veenas Indian Restaurant Club in Heywood.
There are no membership fees or 60 second speeches - our ethos is simply one of a "no hard sell", relaxed atmosphere. Just good authentic Indian cuisine, good company and the chance to form new business relationships, and strengthen existing ones.
Since the initial launch in February 2009, we have hosted hundreds of individuals, representing almost as many different businesses from the North Manchester area.
Rochdale Business Curry Club meet in the evenings, on the second Wednesday of every month, from 6:00pm through to around 9:00pm.
We take our seats at 6:30pm prompt to enjoy the excellent food on offer, but, most guests like to meet up 30 minutes or so before the event to mingle and network, and the networking opportunities continue both during and after the meal.
The cuisine is a set menu with popadoms & Chutneys, starters, curries, (including a vegetarian option), along with rice, Naan breads and dessert, and offers excellent value.
Please note that there is a display table for any literature you may wish to bring along to promote your business, for fellow guests to peruse.
Individuals or businesses can sponsor an event by offering a business card draw prize, with the added opportunity of spending a minute or two showcasing their business to fellow guests.
