What Were All About!
The ReBuild Project is a new scheme being operated in Rochdale by Jericho Community Projects ( a registered charity), in conjunction with The Well Community Church.
This exciting new venture is designed to help young men and women who have been unemployed for a long time, and have no skills or qualifications, to become active citizens in our community.
This is going to be achieved by giving them pre-college training in Construction Skills, such as plastering, brick-laying, tiling etc, alongside significant one-to-one mentoring, life-coaching, developing life skills, and other forms of personal development.
Initially, The ReBuild Project has funding to train 10 young people, being referred from such places as Job Centres, Probation Office (Next Steps), and similar organisations.
All the training will take place in non-college type premises to help the client group to be accepted and to feel safe.
