Welcome to St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church Rochdale, our Church is based in the centre of Rochdale next to Rochdale Train Station, the new Metrolink Station and opposite the old Fire Station.

The Mosaics
St John's Church has a wonderful mosaic display above the altar, The theme of these mosaics is Eternal Life. The mosaics were designed and crafted by Eric Newton and took over a year to make; they were completed in 1933. As you can see by the image above, Each Year our Church takes part in the Heritage Open Days, information on this can be located on our website, otherwise please feel free to contact the Parish Office via the form on this website.
Gem Church
St John's Church is the Gem Church of Rochdale, The Parish is dedicated to St John The Baptist, and the statue is a constant reminder of St John’s devotion to Christ.
This is a place where people gather to celebrate the Mass and pray. Following Sunday 9.30am Mass we have Tea and Coffee in the Marian Room, why not come along and have a chat to our friendly parishioners and they'll tell you more information!
