Welcome
The Rochdale Light Orchestra brings together amateur musicians who enjoy rehearsing and performing music of a light-hearted nature of all kinds.
Membership is open to all orchestral players – preferably of at least Grade 5 competence – who want to join. The membership subscription per rehearsal session is £3 (adults) £1.50 (children, students, non-waged) to help cover cost of materials and room hire.
The Orchestra is an Equal Opportunities organisation, so age is no barrier. (The present membership includes people from their teen years to their seventies.)
Rehearsals take place on Mondays (except Bank Holidays and throughout August) from 7.30 to 9.30pm in the Community Rooms of St. Martin’s Church, Castleton.
