Wardle Village Church

Intro

Welcome to our Website

A very warm welcome awaits you at our Anglican Communion Service this Remembrance Sunday with our Service led by Rev Rachel Battershell. The service will begin at 11.00 am with Sunday Club at the same time.

In the afternoon the Remembrance Day Parade will leave Church from 2.00 pm to arrive at the Cenotaph on Wardle Road at 3.00 pm. A Service of Remembrance will take place led by our Vicar Rev Rachel Battershell and then the parade will reassemble for the march back to Church.

On Tuesday 14th November we will be having Home Made Soup and Rolls. These will be served from 12.30 pm until 2.00 pm downstairs. Everyone is welcome and donations received will be for church funds.

Preparations are now underway for our Christmas Fayre which will be held on Saturday 25th November from 11.00 am until 1.00 pm. Many stalls including games will be available.

Our thriving  Baby and Toddler Group continues on a Monday and Wednesday from 9.30 am until Noon. Activities, songs and refreshments are all included for just £1 for adults and 50p for children.

Do you have a child or grandchild aged 3 years or over? Wardle Village Church now has a Sunday Club  with activities for children (aged 3 years and over) to include stories, singing and craftwork. Younger children will be very welcome in Church and the Service will be each Sunday at 11am. The Sunday Club will be held at the same time upstairs, starting and finishing in Church.

Wardle is a Local Ecumenical Partnership between Wardle Methodist Church and the Parish of Wardle and Smallbridge. Wardle Village Church has been a local Ecumenical Partnership since 1993, and its fully integrated congregation shares both Methodist and Anglican worship. We play a full part in both the Rochdale and Littleborough Methodist Circuit and District and the Rochdale Deanery and Diocese of Manchester.

Our purpose is to offer meaningful worship; (both traditional and modern) to encourage members to grow in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to be the body of Christ, witnessing to his love and grace in the area we serve.
