About Wardleworth Community Centre Association & What We Do

Wardleworth Community Centre has been the hub of the local community since 1979 and has been providing vital services to the community such as Welfare Benefit, immigration & debt advice, as well as child development in the form of early learning, Adult Care Services, educational training sessions, family trips, etc. to name a few.

We have seen some challenging times over the years, but with the persistance of the Members of the Community, Management Board Members & Staff we strive for excellence.

We are currently working very close with RMBC Youth Services, Regenda HA, St Vincents HA, Great Places HA, Link 4 Life, RMBC Healthy Living Initiative, Bangladesh Association & Community Project, Rochdale Women’s Welfare Association, The Failinge Hub, UKOnline, etc.

Wardleworth Community Centre is a very popular venue as a result of the many activities we host & provide, such as, IT drop in sessions – this is very popular as we have separate sessions for men(Mondays & Wednesdays) & women(Tuesdays & Thursdays), Monday & Tuesday Badminton & Carrom Board sessions, Tuesday & Thursday gentle exercise for women, basic spoken English classes & Reading & Writing Classes every Tuesday for Women & Thursday for Men, healthy cooking sessions, various trial/taster sessions, Kids Chillout Zone after school Club every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays, etc.

With the future uncertain due to the Government funding cuts across Public Services, one thing for certain is that we have many plans for the year ahead and we can confidently add that the Community Centre has many activities and community educational courses planned. Keep an eye out for updates in the post, local community radio, Newsletters & mosque announcements.
