ZION - YOUR LOCAL BAPTIST CHURCH IN DEEPLISH
Our church is a great church! We are a church of ordinary people who have discovered God's love for ourselves. Our church is a loving church passionately in love with Jesus Christ. We are from different walks of life, members of different cultures, (some French speaking) and young and old, men and women who serve God through His Son Jesus Christ.
Children's Sunday School
Our Children's Sunday School and creche supports the teaching of Bible stories of Abraham, Moses, Noah, Jonah, and God's love of children, as the older members worship. We believe that the Bible is God's Divine Word to us all. All our teachers and helpers are CRB checked.
Who attends our church?
Ours is a family church where children, young people and the elderly are accepted and valued, and where the lonely have a family to which they can belong. People on the fringes of society are included, people at their lowest are lifted, and people at their most desperate can find hope, comfort and love.
We welcome anyone wishing to join us in worship, praise and prayer.
What do we believe?
- We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error in the original manuscripts and is our guide for daily living.
- We believe that the one living and true God exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, and that he died on the cross for our sins and rose on the third day.
- We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and that he empowers us for daily living.
- We believe that people are created by God in his image, but we have separated ourselves from God and need His saving grace.
- We believe that salvation is a gift of God's grace and we receive this gift of eternal life when we trust Jesus Christ as our Saviour from sin.
- We believe that the church is the body of Christ and that God has called believers to gather together in local church families.
- We believe that Jesus Christ will come again and reign eternally.
