In partnership with our client who is a well-respected and leading manufacturing company; we are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to provide full mechanical service and maintenance to machinery on a flexible day working pattern, this includes weekends and 1 week on a call out rota.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
The diagnosis, location and rectification of all mechanical faults on site, including, pneumatic, hydraulic and steam systems.
Ensure all papermaking machinery and ancillary equipment is maintained in a safe working order.
Logging of all water, oil and gas readings and testing of steam boiler safety devices.
Responding to emergency situations in a timely and effective manner.
Carry out all tasks in accordance with Quality systems, hygiene standards and safe working practices.
Adhere to current Safe Systems Of Work, lock off and permit to work procedures.
To plan out work whilst displaying initiative at all times.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:-
NVQ or city and guilds in Mechanical engineering
GCSE or equivalent
Knowledge of working in the paper industry would be an advantage.
