Northern Employment Services are excited to have a fork lift truck driver, with both counterbalance and VNA FLT licences, join our client in their busy production and warehouse team  – making products! Responsible for operating both fork lift trucks, building and packaging product, housekeeping, and personal safety. Factory organisation, housekeeping and personal safety are the fundamentals of the role and in every task. Bendi fork lift truck is also desirable but not necessary. 

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Operate a VNA truck around the narrow aisles 
• Operate a Counterbalance truck 
• Follow production schedule
• Build and package finished products
• Maintain safe and clean work place
• Suggest and help implement cost saving initiatives
• Effectively communicate daily safety/production needs to management
• Occasionally work within warehousing department as and when required
• Additional projects and roles as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance Licence with experience is a MUST
• Valid VNA Licence with experience is a MUST
• Valid Bendi is desireable, but not essential
• Basic math skills
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work well in a team and independently
• Must be able to work with PPE for extended periods of time
• Must be able to drive a forklift (preferable but not required initially)

Education and Experience:

High school education and some manufacturing experience would be preferable
Experience with both VNA and Counterbalance fork lift trucks

Working hours:

TWO SHIFT ROTATING WEEKLY
Monday to Friday - 6am to 2:30pm // 2pm to 10:30pm
