Details:

A weekend packed with kettlebells and fundraising is set to hit Rochdale on Saturday 20th May.

Kettlemania, organised by local gym, Forever Strong, will raise money for national skin cancer support group, Melanoma UK and Springhill Hospice.

The event will consist of a 12-hour charity bootcamp at the Forever Strong fitness and performance gym, kettle-bell competitions, followed by an evening social at the Flying Racehorse.

Former military man and gym owner, Gary Rothwell, began organising fitness-fundraising events after meeting Melanoma UK’s CEO, Gillian Nuttall, earlier this year.

The gym’s customers have committed to a number of fundraising events including the Great Manchester Run; Muddy Maniacs and Kettlemania.

Speaking from Melanoma UK’s office in Shaw, Gillian Nuttall commented: “We are delighted and extremely grateful to be a part of this amazing weekend.

A very dear friend of mine who sadly died of melanoma a few months ago, spent her last few weeks in Springhill, so the opportunity to share an event with them has pleased us so much.”
