The Heywood Charities Fete is one of the biggest and the most long-standing event in the calendar of Heywood.  Organised by the Heywood Charities Fete Committee,  it traditionally takes place annually on the first Sunday in September and is supported by many local voluntary groups, organisations and local businesses.

It begins with a parade through the town centre of Heywood, followed by the Fete taking place at Queen's Park, Heywood.

Revenue from the Fete from the small gate entry charge is donated to local charities and groups to benefit a variety of deserving causes within the town.  At the Charities Fete Committee AGM in 2017 a share of £6,000 was gratefully received by many Heywood Groups.

Entry fee: Adults £2, Concession/Child £1, Family Ticket (2 adults, 3 children under 16) £5
