A talk by Dr Jonty Trigg of Liverpool University - World War One Commemoration and the North West of England.
"Like many communities, the North West of England sacrificed a significant proportion of its membership to the Great War.
"During the war and afterwards, many events took place to commemorate both those who died, as well as those who served.
"The evidence for these focus our reflections on the impact that World War One had on the North West of England.
"This lecture will highlight ongoing research I am conducting on this topic."
