Sponsored Spring Walk for Autism & Asperger Syndrome

30 March 2019

Saturday 30 March 2019
9.30am - 11.30am

Meet outside the Wardens House at Queens Park
Queens Park Road
Heywood
OL10 4UY

Details:

Hosted by HAHAS - Heywood Awareness and Help for Autism & SEN, we are arranging a sponsored walk in Queen's Park.

Join us for the walk around the park in aid of HAHAS. You can walk, jog, run, push a pram, dress up etc. We are encouraging the community to join in with our autism families.

As it is autism friendly, the event will be taking place in the morning whilst the park is quiet. There will be no tracking of times (feel free to track your own time) and no overall winners. Everybody is a winner to us!

It's free to enter and sponsor forms can be delivered to Heywood addresses free of charge. Each child or representative of a family/group will receive a medal for participating.

It is carers responsibility to ensure the safety of their family or group members and any children under the age of 16.

Please meet at 9.30am PROMPT outside the warden’s house so that we have a final count of numbers. The 0.5 mile walk consists of a flat course with very little inclines and no steep declines to in keep with the accessibility friendly approach.

Tony Munro will be present taking photographs of the event, so please advise us if you wish to NOT have your photograph taken.

For more information on the route of the walk, please visit the Facebook link below.

Entry fee: Free to enter
