Organised by Rochdale Borough Council, the 2019 season at Bowlee Community Park in Middleton begins on Sunday 14 April and then runs on Sunday’s until mid-August.
On Bank Holiday weekends the event will be held on the Sunday and Monday for the first time (excluding Sunday 5 May). As always there’s no need to book, just turn up, and the events run from 7am to 1.30pm. (6am for sellers).
Improvements for the 2019 season include additional customer toilets, increased on site signage and more stewards to assist visitors. Once again, there will be no last minute cancellations – if poor weather is forecast a decision will be announced by 6pm the day before the sale.
If you're selling, there's no need to book just turn up and pay at the gate. Prices for selling are:
Arrive early to get yourself a good spot. Sellers must take all their rubbish home when leaving the site.
The buyers' car park at Bowlee is located within the park. £2.50 per vehicle to park. The car park opens from 6.00am on car boot days and has spaces for over 1,200 vehicles.
