Details:

Take in a whole day of music in summer as Rochdale Music Service presents its spectacular Summer Serenade. No matter what your tastes in music, from brass bands to rock to swinging jazz bands, you'll find something here for you.

As the Rochdale Music Service's final musical celebration of the academic year, you'll never have a better chance to hear each ensemble showing itself off at its best.

All of Rochdale Music Service's bands and ensembles will be performing. These are made up of people of all ages and experience levels, ensuring that the selection of music will be large and varied.

The programme includes brass bands, wind bands, rock bands, choirs, and ensemble groups for brass, wind, string and percussion instruments.

Local businesses will be on hand to provide hot food and snacks.

Please note - Weather permitting, the concert will take place right outside the town hall itself, on Gracie Island. If it rains then it will be moved to the great hall inside the town hall.

Entry fee: Free
