2019 - 2020 programme for our 125th year.

Tonight is Peterloo - The Bloody Manchester Massacre with speaker Elizabeth Sibbering.

Castleton Literary & Scientific Society are a long established society. Presenters have included authors, naturalists, local historians, film makers, engineers, scientists and travellers talking about their interests and passions.

The presentations are on Friday evenings at 7pm from October to March and usually last for an hour or so, followed by questions, tea and biscuits.

The annual membership fee is £20, however non-members are very welcome to attend with a pay-on-the-evening fee of £2 per person.

Please note - next week's session (18 October) is an event in the Rochdale Literature & Ideas Fetsival prgramme 'Headlines & Hedgerows with John Craven', 7.30pm at Rochdale Sixth Form College.

Entry fee: £2 for non-members. Annual membership £20.
