Hosted by NHS HMR CCG as part of Rochdale in Rainbows, this conference is aimed at staff working in health and social care organisations across the Rochdale borough including the voluntary and third sector organisations who want to learn more about inequalities affecting LGBT communities and workforce.

The event will be an opportunity to learn more about the inequalities and barriers LGBT people face.

The conference will have a range of speakers:

  • Carl Austin Behan, Mayor Office - How this is a priority across Greater Manchester.
  • Aimee Linfield and other speakers from LGBT foundation - Talking about their work around pride in practice, sexual health, domestic abuse and Pride in Ageing programmes.
  • Cath Hayes and Matty Donaldson from Proud Trust - Partnership working with HMR CCG.
  • Tara Hewitt, Group Equality Inclusion and Engagement Programme Manager for Northern Care Alliance - Talking about how to be a Trans Ally.
  • Jax Effiong, GM Fire & Rescue - Talking about intersectionality BAME & LGBT.
